Happy Feast Day of St. Aloysius

Today is the feast day of St. Aloysius, a holy Jesuit who died rather young after caring for plague victims. He is known for his prayerfulness, reverence, and innocence.

St. Aloysius is a patron of students and youth, and an outstanding role model for all of us.

Please join me in this prayer today:

Heavenly Father,
in Saint Aloysius you combined remarkable innocence
with the spirit of penance.
By the help of his prayers
may we who have not followed his innocence
follow his example of penance.
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son,
who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.
