Uncle Ray has a tentative surgery (for removal of the afflicted kidney) date of August 29th.
The doctors are thinking/hoping that this should solve the problem, and that he will be fine to live on the remaining kidney.
A mass was said for Uncle Ray on August 13th. Another is being offered by overseas missionaries sometime soon. We sent a little care package to Uncle Ray today.
I do not know when, post-op, he will be well enough for visitors, but I am planning a trip up to visit him when he's well enough. I will probably stay at Cindy's or at the Oswego Inn. I'll let people know either way, so that we can spend some time together and maybe go visit him in small groups.
Those of you who are in New York, please make sure that Aunt Joy and Uncle Ray's needs are being met as much as possible (food, etc.). Thanks very much!
