BLOG BLESSING!

Dawn, Pennsylvania's most feared and revered homeschooling momma, gave me a nice blog blessing! What a lovely Christmas gift!!!

The idea… it’s a game of tag with a difference, rather than looking inwardly, we look outside ourselves and bless, praise and pray for 3 blog friend. By participating in this endeavor we not only make the recipient of the blessing feel valued and appreciated, but we are having some fun too. We’re going to see how far the bloggin’ blessings can travel around the world and how many people can be blessed! Recipients of a bloggin’ blessing may upload the above image to their sidebar if they choose to. If you receive a bloggin’ blessin’ please leave a comment on this thread so that we can rejoice in just how many blessings have been sent around the world!

I'd like to pass the blessing on to:

Ann at Ineffable Twaddle . If you see the name of her blog and still have to ask why she'd be my first choice to pass this blessing onto, you clearly do not know cool when you see it. In that case, get away from my blog, your lameness is upsetting us. ;)

Seminarian Zach is next on the list, because he is so brave and open in his communication on his blog and in web forums. He is always himself, and willing to honestly express what is on his mind. Besides, his blog often has fabulous photos.

The final recipient I've chosen is Ivar for the simple fact that his faith is an inspiration and his personality a delight. He and "Viking" are possibly two of the most kind and sincere folks you'll ever come across. Viking has been discerning his vocation for a long time, so please pray for him. Ivar is thinking about whether or not the priesthood is in his future, too.

Here are my prayers for them:

For Ann:

Heavenly Father, you have given Ann a tremendous voice, both in song and in pen. Please bless her as she uses her gifts to give you glory and serve her Church. Please send your Holy Spirit to guide her artistry all the days of her life, and to open the hearts of those with whom she shares her talents. I ask this through Christ, Our Lord. Amen.

For Zach:

Eternal Father, you have a devoted servant in your loving son, Zach. Please hear his prayers as he finds the best path for him in the Catholic Church. Please aid him in his preparation for the priesthood, and attend to all his needs so that he may attend to the needs of your Church and your children in Her care. It is through Christ, the Head of the Church and the Heavenly Priest, that I make these requests. Amen.

For Ivar:

Beloved Jesus, Head of the Holy Catholic Church and greatest Giver of Self, I ask that you hold Ivar close to your Holy Sacred Heart, and the Immaculate Heart of our Blessed Mother, as he discerns how to offer himself to You and Your Church. Should you call him to the sacred priesthood, please give him all he needs to become a truly pious and holy priest, and please inspire us to keep him, Zach, Viking, and all seminarians and clergy in our prayers. I thank you, Dear Jesus, for your sacrifice and the sacrifice of your good and loving priests. Thank you for giving yourself for us, and thank you for calling men to give of themselves, continuing Your work in Your Church.

Whatever life you call Ivar to live, I thank you for his example of faithful discipleship. Amen.

Dani - thank you so much for the blog blessing. You made me cry (weep)! But be assured the blog blessing is coming back to you!

PS: BTW, I've often wondered how Klingons went from here

You are both so very, very welcome. I, of course, am the one who owes all the thanks!

Ann - There were days that I did kind of look like the Klingon you posted. That's what happens when you can't pluck or wax because your head is swollen! :)
